Course Description
This course is for established managers who would like to explore the deeper issues of being more effective and develop the practical tools to become a better leader. This progressive course takes the interpersonal issues of management and shows you how to enjoy the responsibilities of the role by putting your personal energy to use in the most effective ways. This includes a look at the impact of your attitudes and responses, and how to re-energise and unite your team.
Course length = 2 day(s) ~ covering:-
- The Manager's Roles: The primary and secondary roles and related abilities a manager needs to create. The difference between a good manager and a brilliant manager. How to consistently ‘develop and enjoy' the roles and responsibilities of manager. Putting more 'heart' into the role.
- The Manager's Responsibilities: The seven core management responsibilities. How to create a culture through management style. Empowering others and avoiding the traps of phantom empowerment. The difference between positional power and relational power. When and how to allow and encourage others to take the heat.
- The Manager's Relationships: The false beliefs which block interpersonal relationships in the workplace. The role of emotional intelligence in the management of people. How to identify and tap into the values which motivate people and unite teams. How to prevent the hardening of attitudes when people do not respond. How to help people bring their heart to work!
- The Manager's Resources: Using personal energy in the most effective ways. How to manage thoughts, feelings and attitudes under pressure. How to replenish depleted mental and emotional energy. Creating an ongoing system for sustained self-management.
