Fire Warden Training Course
Course Description
This course is suitable for those with responsibility for assisting with emergency evacuation arrangements in their workplace. Relevant for fire wardens and marshals, any managers with fire safety responsibilities, or health and safety representatives.
Course length = 1 day(s) ~ covering:-
- Understand common causes of fire in the workplace
- Understand how fires spread within buildings
- Learn the typical functions of members of the emergency team, including fire wardens, fire co-ordinators and health and safety representatives
- Identify the main requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Outline the main elements of a fire risk assessment
- Understand the different types of portable fire extinguishers and how they should be used in emergencies
- Learn best practice in emergency evacuation training, and practice fire drills with other delegates
- Assist your organisation in both simulated and live emergency evacuation situations
- Learn your responsibilities for post-evacuation evaluation and debriefing
